A 50-year-old woman sustaining a noninvasive thymoma accompanied by hyperparathyroidism
is presented. Although this is the third case report to date in the literature of
the combination of these two diseases, the patient did not evidence the myasthenia
gravis cited in the two previous reports. In the two years following concomitant extended
thymectomy and resection of the right superior parathyroid gland, including the adenoma,
the patient has been following a favorable course without recurrence.
